The Giraffe

In the beginning, when the Earth was still forming, animals depended on a single tree to survive. This tree was called the great tree of life. All animals fed of off this tree, and all plants grew off this tree. For at the top of the great tree of life, grew the sweetest fruit of all. Only such animals that could fly and climb to the top of the tree knew of the powers it held. This fruit made the tiny sparrow into the soaring eagle, and a minuscule monkey progressed into a great silverback gorilla.
These animals that feasted on the great fruit would brag to all the land animals as if they were royalty. Those royal animals had pity on the lower animals, and had tossed down one small bite of the fruit from the top of the great. All the peasants of animals watch along as the fruit dropped. Only one animal had caught the fruit in it's mouth, and it was a giraffe. At the time, this giraffe was but a common deer.
Once it had a taste of the sweetest fruit of all he wanted more. With the desire and power given to him from the tiny bite. He stretched and stretched all day, everyday every part of his short stature. His legs, his neck, and even his tongue he would grow longer and taller so that one day he might reach the fruit of great power. And such a day came when the giraffe stood three times the height of any other animal on the land. This day he stood tall, reached out with his whole body, and bit off the freshest piece. The animals on the ground watched as one of their own gained access to animal royalty. After that day, the giraffe would gather the great fruit and share it to all his friends and family. since the giraffe gave to the community, it spawn the growth for everyone around. From this story the giraffe was known as the giver of growth.
