The God of Purpose
‘Before I formed thee in the womb I knew thee…’ Jeremiah 1:5
The greatest discovery any person on earth can make remains to discover exactly who they really are and what they can do to find true fulfillment. The thirst that is so innate in all human beings is the longing for fulfillment. In fulfillment every person finds a completeness that resonates the whole being.
True fulfillment is not an illusion of the mind; it is hidden in the4 words of God to Jeremiah the prophet. Before, ”you were formed in the womb I knew what you would become”. There is no theory in the world that can equal this truth eternally, there is no fathoming required, there is no guess work required. Before you were formed I knew you, in fact, it is what I know of you that that defined your formation in the womb.
Parents don’t determine purpose, they are used to influence birth time, gene, location. Purpose is not in you, purpose was defined before you were formed. Purpose was defined before you were conceived in the womb. Purpose, was the determining factor for your formation. If you don’t know purpose, even if you invented the next fuel or energy that will make the Oil age extinct and you do not understand your purpose, you cannot experience Fulfillment.
Fulfillment comes when purpose that necessitated your formation becomes achieved. True fulfillment resonates the being and brings completeness to the soul. Many great people after achieving feats still committed suicide, other big names ended up miserable. You can succeed outside purpose to achieve an aim or feat, you may even break a record. If it’s not of purpose, you cannot find true fulfillment that makes life complete for you.
Purpose is not a choice to make. Your best of decisions cannot equal purpose. You may have had great feats; purpose is the ultimate feat in life. He says, “my ways are not your ways, neither are my thoughts your thoughts. As high as the heaven is above the earth so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.”Isaiah 55:11 this means the best of your abilities cannot replace the purpose I have for you.
Therefore, I made bold to say your purpose is not in you, it is not a product of your thought realm. Your purpose is in God only. That is why, “it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God who shows mercy”Romans 9:27 Your will power must not be mistaken for purpose. Your abilities must not be mistaken for purpose. “there is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death”.
Your ways will always end in death; His way will lead you to life, not just in this world but in the heaven above. Hence, He says, “my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” Hosea 4:6 Your ways no matter how soothing, they will never be a substitute for His purpose for your life. Before you were formed, your opinion was not considered. He made us not in our image, but in His own image. Genesis 1:26.
Man after the fall he saw himself. He saw his own image. His thoughts are to improve his image. The true image of a man is the product of his thoughts. Jesus said, ït is not what enters a man that defiles a man but what comes out of him” the expression of your inner thoughts that is the real image of a man. that is why the word of God is the mirror, where we see how we look.
