The Importance Of Being Accountable

Accountability

The U.S. army values soldiers that are accountable for their actions. Being accountable means being

dependable-arriving to work and appointments on time, meeting deadlines, being in the right place

at the right time, doing the right thing at the right time. Morning formation is the most important

formation of the day. It is made to get accountability of everyone and put out any information that

there needs to be dealt with. Without having accountability there is not knowing of where

everybody is or what's going on. As a result of me showing up late and not calling in I am pending

U.C.M.J. action under article 15. know knowing the severity of the I have realized that is an

important asset always showing up on time at the right place of duty. Not only does accountability

matter in formation it is also imperative to have accountability of all your weapons and sensitive

items. Incase of something happening spontaneously and you don't have a clue where you weapon

or sensitive items are, but then you really need them.

I am an American Soldier.

I am a Warrior and a member of a team. I serve the people of the United States and live the Army Values. I will always place the mission first.

I am disciplined, physically and mentally tough, trained and proficient in my warrior tasks and drills. I always maintain my arms, my equipment and myself.

The most important part in the Soldiers Creed more me in this moment and time is I always maintain my arms, my equipment and myself. For if I didn't have those things I could put my self in danger or some other of my battle buddies. If you grew up like I did in a Christian family, or even if

you didn't, I'm sure you heard about the scriptures that condemn judgment towards others. We all

know that it is not our place, even though we often do, to judge other people for their actions. And

this is because God is our judge and he will judge everyone on the day he returns. But as I was

reading through some scripture, I came across an interesting passage. One where Paul finds out that

a man, who is part of the church, is unrepentantly living a life of sin with his father's wife. Paul

begins in chapter 5:1, "I can hardly believe the report about the sexual immorality going on among

you." Later after pointing out the man who is sinning he exclaims, "And you are so proud of

yourselves!Ð'...And why haven't you removed this man from you fellowship?" Paul goes on to pass

judgment upon the man and tells the church to to "cast this man outÐ'...and into Satan's hands." Then in verses 6 and 7 he says, "How terrible that you should boast about your spirituality, and yet you let

this sort of thing go on. Don't you realize that if even one person is allowed to go on sinning, soon all

will be affected? Remove this wicked person from among you so that you can stay pure." And then in

verse 12, "It isn't my responsibility to judge outsiders, but it certainly is your job to judge those inside

the church who are sinning in these ways." In my opinion there were two things that the church hadn't

done that they should have. First, they let things go too far and didn't keep the man accountable to his

beliefs. And secondly, they were too proud and caught up in their own personal spirituality to even

think about being pure as a church. We are called to keep one another accountable to God's Word

and to seek purity as a community, that way, as a body of believers, we can stay repentant before God

and not have to pass judgment on one another. Instead we can encourage our brothers and sisters in

paths of righteousness. It's important to remember that in life there are many temptations. Are you

going to fight back as on soldier, or as part of God's army? I don't read the bible as much as I used to

and in the situation as I was feeling down I decide to dip down into it to see if it could help and I came

across the passage and decide that it needed to be inserted in to my essay.Here's a newspaper article I found that I believe has a lot to do with accountability in the military, its by THE NORTH COUNTY TIMES OPTION STAFF, What can we do but bow our heads in respect for the Marines of the Fighting Fifth who were

honored for their sacrifice on Thursday? Actually, we owe these incredibly brave men and their

families much more.

1. We owe the 100 Marines, sailors and soldiers who died serving with the Regimental Command

2. Team 5 in Iraq this year, and the heroes that fight on, our support. We owe them our attention,
