I. Introduction

Nowadays, some students in school have got English as a subject in their learning process. The basic of this learning is vocabulary. Students have to understand about what the vocabulary is, because if they do not know about it they cannot understand what the word is. The beginner students do not know directly about a word that they have found. First, they should open their dictionary to know about the meaning of the new word. However, some students are lazy to collect the words that they have not found before. They may think that seek in dictionary is the simple way than memorize the meaning of that words which are written by them. Therefore, this paper will discuss about how important vocabulary is, so that students can improve their vocabulary as their need.

II. Discussion

Students must be ready to chase their laziness. They have to realize that vocabulary is important in their futures. Vocabulary is one of main aspects in learning language. It is the way for projecting ideas. Vocabulary is an essential components in communication (Juriah, 2015). The category of essence vocabulary is modal items that consist of may, can, seem, apparently. The other categories are primary nouns, adjectives, adverbsand verbs. Besides, they have to understand about the words that should be used in approriate context.For instance the words that use in academic text such as procedure, region, validity, conference, recovery, eliminate, etc (Richards, 2015, p. 304),.

Language learner is categorized as receptive and productive vocabulary knowledge (Faraj, 2015). As receptive, they should be able to conceive a word when they find or hear it. While in productive vocabulary knowledge students produce the words in writing or speech. As beginner learners, they will feel distracted when encountering a lot of new words. It makes them be lazy to seek in dictionary what the meaning of those words are.

Depth of vocabulary in students really take effect in their comprehension when they meet reading material (Bardakci, 2016). If the teachers are careless towards the students who are not have interest to collect new words, then that students will be useless. In this paper, the writer would give suggestion to breakdown the students’ laziness. First of all, we should understand about the activities that students most like in learning English. We could give instruction to the students to take a note the words that they have not known, then they should seek the meaning in dictionary. For example listening to music or watching a movie. The students will be curious with the content of that music or movie. If they do not know the meaning word by word they will start to find it. The next example is reading a story such as narrative text with the same instruction, because that kind of texts mostly tell about folklore or fiction. Those texts can attract the attention of students because the context is eye catching. Both of them make students can not be escaped from difficult words. When they encounter a more difficult type of texts, they are not shock or lazy to find the meaning. It can be their habit when they find any difficult words.

III. Conclusion
