Did Lee Harvey Oswald kill John F. Kennedy by himself or was it a conspiracy?
John Fitzgerald Kennedy was born in Brookline, Massachusetts on May 29, 1917. He was the son of Joseph Patrick Kennedy and Rose Fitzgerald. All of his male ancestors had been some kind of political figure in the United States. His grandfathers, Patrick Joseph Kennedy and John Francis Fitzgerald, both owned large business corporations in Boston. JFK's father was a highly successful business man who was later an ambassador to Great Britain.
Kennedy had many medical problems that seem to be secrets kept from the public. He had a bad case of colitis which eventually caused him to have Osteoporosis. He was also diagnosed with Addison's disease at a young age. Kennedy entered Harvard University where he received a degree in Science. He graduated in 1940. Why England slept, written by Kennedy, was published also in 1940. In 1941 he volunteered for the United States Army but was rejected due to his troubled back. The United States Navy then accepted him where he became an intelligence officer. During this time he happened to be on the PT-109 boat when it was rammed into by the Japanese Destroyer Amagiri. Here he was thrown across the deck hurting his already-troubled back. Although even with his injury he was able to carry a wounded man three miles in the ocean.
Before World War II, Kennedy had not thought about being a politician for his older brother, Joseph P Kennedy Jr., was hopefully going to be the next future President. Sadly, he was killed during World War II making JFK the next in line to fulfill the family's political ambitions. In 1946 Kennedy ran for the Democratic seat for the Mayor of Boston. He beat his opponent by a large surplus.
