THE LOCH NESS MONSTER
Loch Ness is a popular Scotland's scenic spot. Millions of tourists have been attracted by the story about the Loch Ness Monster, which started in the year 565 AD. There was a story about the monster which killed a man who was swimming in the Loch.
One day in August 1930, there was a report about the monster again. Three fishermen said that they had seen an animal which was around 20 feet long in the Loch. After this, the newspaper received several reports from people who also said that they had seen a big animal in the Loch.
In 1962, the Loch Ness Investigation Bureau was set up to study the case. To find out more about the monster, camera stations were set up. They also used vans as mobile camera stations, and underwater listening devices. In addition, other high technology equipment were used to search for the monster. Despite their efforts, nothing about the monster was found.
Recently, a group of experts was invited by BBC to study the case. The team searched the loch but found nothing about the monster. The team says that lots of people reported that they had seen the monster just because of the fact that people see what they want to see. To prove this, the team hid a fence post beneath the surface of the loch and raised it in front of a group of tourists. They then interviewed these tourists. During the interviews, the tourists reported seeing a square object. However, several of them drew monster-shaped heads when they were asked to draw what they had seen.
At this moment, it is not certain whether there is the Loch Ness monster or not. But one thing is for sure; the reports about the monster make Loch Ness one of the most popular scenic spots in Scotland.
