The Most Trending Social Networks

Social networking has become more popular in society today. The most used social networks are Facebook and Twitter. These two social networks are appealing to billons of people all over the world because it helps you get connected with friends and you are able to communicate with them as well through tweets or Facebook post. Facebook is ranked number one in most used social networks worldwide, twitter is the second most used. These sites allow people to find out information about things that may be going on in a person’s life without actually having to call the person.  Facebook and Twitter seem very similar, but they are extraordinarily different.

Facebook was created for people to connect with friends, current friends or friends from high school that you wish to get back in touch with. You could also connect with new friends and meet different people from all over the country. Some people don’t like Facebook because of the navigation and updates to Facebook and makes you to invest more time on it. When you message somebody on Facebook it’s unlikely that you will get an immediate response from that person unless they are currently on or have the mobile app. On the other hand, Twitter is popular because of  how easily you could interact with people and receive rapid response. People like the simplicity of twitters navigation and being able to send tweets whenever, if you tweet at someone that person has the mobile app they will be notified immediately.

Both Facebook and Twitter have been used by many users. They both fall into the top social networks. Facebook lets users upload pictures and share videos as well as Twitter. You can download both of the network’s mobile app to your smart phone and access the network from there. On Facebook, users are able to tag other people in pictures and posts while, on Twitter, users can call out other Twitter users by placing the “@” symbol in front of their name. On Facebook you get to share videos or statuses and on Twitter you get to retweet. Tweets and statuses are similar in the sense users can see what you posted on the news feed. The popularity and growth of both networks are the biggest similarity the two have in common.

On Facebook and Twitter, you could send messages to anybody. They both have advertisements.  You could create new relationships on both Facebook and Twitter. On Facebook and Twitter, you could use a hashtag to create a unique topic. They are both free social networking sites. In Facebook, you can be friends with your friends and family or those who are strangers to you just by sending a friend request. In the case of Twitter, anybody can become your follower just by following you. Facebook and Twitter both have the same goal to connect with family and friends.

However, Facebook and Twitter have differences. They are both set up to make it easier for people to communicate, they are structured much differently. Facebook gives you the ability to customize your profile about yourself and Twitter just has a bio. With Facebook and Twitter, a person can post statues about anything they would like to share with their friends or family. While Facebook statues posts are unlimited on the amount of characters that you may type, Twitter posts are limited to one hundred forty characters. Facebook privacy settings on a person’s profile allows them to limit who can and cannot view their profile information. On Twitter, the user just has two options in privacy: private or public.
