DEDICATION

We dedicate this research to students like us who thinks that K-12 doesn’t have advantages at all. We would like to inform you about the important ideas of the new curriculum and how it can affect the future generation as well as the economy of our own country. In prior to this, we would also extend the knowledge that we have gathered throughout our whole study. This research aims to give information not only to students but also to adults who may think that K-12 is a hindrance to our old education system. As we all know, the old curriculum was changed because the government said that the K-12 is a big step towards the goal of the students. K-12 aims to be a good training ground to those who are close to their chosen paths.

ABSTRACT

Before, some of student doesn’t even know how K-12 works, and how it happened. So in order to know important information about K-12, the researcher studied it all together for them to learn about the things that they should learn. On the Chapter I, they gathered the basic information about the chosen topic and how it works and when it was implemented. K-12 is a new curriculum that was done by President Noynoy Aquino at the year 2013 in order to par with other Asian Countries. Because as you all know, Philippines is one of the three countries in Asia who doesn’t implemented K-12 yet. So in order for the Philippines to be par with them, the government decided to implement the new curriculum despite of the risks. Chapter 2 are consists of review of related studies, theories, and literature wherein the researchers gathered ideas and legitimate information through links online. They made sure that the information that they got were all true and legitimate to know the depths of the topic related to K-12. The researcher also conducted an interview to different kinds of people in order to know their different opinion about the said topic. The target audience are the parents, students, and educators because they are the ones who are mainly affected by K-12. Some may said that K-12 is just a waste of money, but they didn’t know that education will never be a waste of money because no one can ever buy the knowledge that the students will learn in the process. Some say that K-12 is something that we should never tolerate, but little did they know that K-12 has lots of benefits not only to the students but also to the country. This study aims to raise awareness to people who doesn’t know the positive impact of K-12 to the country, and to the students. The main audience are the students who kept on complaining how hard K-12 is, but little did you know that K-12 is a good training for our chosen paths. In general, K-12 is a very important role to a lot of people for it is a change that will surely help us in our lives.
