Six months ago, in the morning on January 3rd, a man saw that his son had not got at home, although it was already seven o’clock. He then asked his son’s girlfriend about him, and she told him that Robert had not been home all night.
Robert had sent a sms at/to her mobile phone at 9 pm where he had told her that they would meet on the other world. He had sent an another sms two minutes later where he announced that his body would be found on the Alfa street. The girl let her boy-friend’s parents know and Robert’s father went on the look out for his son.
Robert’s father was appealing called by the Police to go home at 4 pm. The representatives of the bank where Robert was working had already announced the theft of 120.000 € from the safe and the fact that Robert had disappeared. A 112 call made at 00.20 informed that a man threw himself from the eight floor of a building.
Robert was discovered in snow by a couple who thought that he was a homeless who was moaning. The neighbours had been peering at the windows, but nobody went to give a helping hand. The police officers explained that Robert had chosen that block because a colleague from the bank was leaving there.
Robert had very good references and his colleagues told the press that they didn’t know him to have had problems at others banks where he had been working before.
Beeing an obsessed gambler in the all Bucharest’s casinos, he had been mortgaged his parents’ house where he was living with them and his girl friend.
It seems that he didn’t have much chance in playing to roulette and he was desperate of that.
Robert was hospitalised and is now in Intensive Therapy. The doctors said he was lucky because of the snowing weather of that night. Robert has a big chance to recover but the recuperation will be difficult.
