The Rock Cycle Story
Hi, my name is Meta. I am a Metamorphic Rock and I am going to tell you something that happened one day but first, I will tell you the importance of rock. Rock has been used for tools by our ancestors, and the minerals and the metals found in rock have been essential to human civilization and sooner, the rock will become soil. And the soil supports the interaction between climate, position in the landscape, and without soil we will not be able to sustain life.
One day when I was rolling around the hill and something hit me it was like BOOM!!! and I feel like I melt. Then suddenly we, the other magma, combined and after a couple of days, I don't think I'm a magma anymore because I feel air swoop through my body and I didn't know where I was .I cannot move anymore because it’s just that my body is stuck in the ground and I feel heavier than before, Before I recognize what I am, I'm already an igneous rock because a magma from a volcano hits me hard and I became bigger and thicker. After that I went through what we call cooling.
So when the magma cools it turns igneous rock. So then I was on my way to go hangout with my friends Sed and Mag, and I went through something called weathering and erosion and turned into a sediment because sediment are tiny rock particles that comes from the volcano when it erupts. But also an igneous rock can go through heat and pressure and turn back to a metamorphic rock. But when I turned into a sediment I couldn't go out with my friends. Then I was on my way home, when I saw a big monster!!! It wanted to kick me, but luckily, I bolted away. Then I went through compaction and cementation, and turned into sedimentary rock. When I got home I told my Mother about what I experienced this whole day and then she tells me that the rock cycle never ends because volcanoes still erupts and the condition of our weather keeps on changing, and also because of the natural disasters.
