The Tampon

The greatest invention from the last two-thousand years is the tampon. The tampon was created by Earle Cleveland in 1931, and they are now spreading quickly all over the world. Although some countries believe they can affect a women's virginity and have not bought into this production there are millions of other women all over that do use them. Tampons were created to help women when they were cramping, moody, and of course on their period. Tampons have also allowed women over the past several years to participate in activities they couldn't do before. The tampon not only has helped women on their worst days of the month, but they have also helped women with some situations where there had to find
a solution in a hurry.
The tampon was created to hold the blood from their period. Before tampons were created there were pads which held blood fairly well, but were smelly, uncomfortable, and inconvenient. Before that, women would use rags or some sort of fabric to hold the blood but it was just like the pads which were a hassle. Before anything was yet to be created or thought of, women would sit in the earth, naked to let out all of the blood until it was over.
The tampon has allowed women over the last several years to participate in activities they couldn't do before. The period would not allow women to play sports, swim, or even allow them to get out of bed. Some women while on there period would lie in bed all week and do nothing until it was over, for it was believed they were sick and unable to do anything. Now because the tampon does not allow any leaks, they can do all of that and more.
