Copper Cleaning We used two different theories. The first one was lemon and baking soda and the second one was salt and vinegar. We found that salt and vinegar worked withen seconds and the lemon and baking soda didn't really work that good. So we would suggest if you ever want to clean copper, to use salt and vinegar. Then after you do that rinse your object down with water and rub the object with a soft cloth to neutralize the object. For this project we used a copper penny. But it does work better than I thought it would. Now if you ever need a clean penny just use a little salt an vinegar. We had fun doing this project and we hope you try it to and if you do, have fun. And thanks for coming too our school science fair. We hope you have a great time here.
