Dear Mr. Ewell,
"Treat others as you would like to be treated" (The Golden Rule)..have you ever noticed that people treat you according to the way you treat them? If you treat someone badly, chances are that they are going to treat you the same way. You are the most despised man in Maycomb, Alabama because of your unjust ways. You abuse your children, and are prejudice, hypocritical, and lazy. If you continue to act this way you will be the one to suffer in the end because you will undergo consequences for your actions.
Every time you abuse your children by beating them, neglecting them, or yelling at them, they lose more respect for you. Eventually, they are going to get tired of the way you treat them and do something about it. They will most likely run away, which will probably result in the loss of your monthly relief checks because the only reason you get them is because people feel sorry for your children. You will be left with no source of income. Or, they will turn you in for child abuse which, will result in you going to jail or prison. If you change your ways and stop abusing your children everyone will respect you more. People will treat you as an equal instead of as an outsider and everyone will be friendlier. As a result, you will be a lot happier and you won't have to suffer any consequences.
If you continue to be hypocritical and judge people for the way they act or live you will not gain an ounce of respect from anyone and you will end up getting yourself into a lot of trouble. When you are prejudice and hypocritical people start losing respect for you because everyone is created equal and no one is better than anyone else. You have been prejudice and hypocritical by accusing the Negroes of devaluing your property and being dangerous to live around, when you live in the most disgusting, devalued house in Maycomb County and are the most dangerous person anyone could live around. "Jedge, I've asked this county for fifteen years to clean out that nigger nest, they're dangerous to live around, sides' devalun' my property" (lee 175). If you stop being prejudice and hypocritical
