Tom and Daisy were two careless people and destroyed things, and then went back together. At the beginning of this story, Tom and Daisy were together and cared only of themselves and their money. Then that is when Gatsby came in and everything changed, for a while. After all the people they hurt, they went back together or was it love?
The beginning of this story Tom and Daisy were together and seemed happy. They only cared that they had money. They were happy even if there were not loved by each other. The love that they had was toward the money. So maybe if they were not rich they would not be with each other.
When Gatsby came in to there, life's everything changed, for a while. Even before Gatsby appeared, Tom was having an affair with George's wife, Myrtle. When Gatsby and Daisy saw each other, again they started to see each other and have an affair. Later on in the story Daisy and Gatsby let Tom know that they were having an affair. Daisy told Tom that she has never loved him and always loved Gatsby. However, Tom never told daisy about Myrtle and him.
After all the people they hurt, they went back together. Even though Tom knew, that Daisy did not love him. In consequence of all they did, Daisy ran over Myrtle, by accident, and then lied to George and said Gatsby had done it. By lying to him, the consequence was he killing Gatsby and himself. After all the destruction they made, Tom and Daisy got back together as if nothing had happened. They only cared about themselves and their money.
Therefore, even though something happens in between them they will soon forget about it and act like nothing had happened and be happy again. They will never change; they might separate again but soon go back together and hurt people in their path. Maybe because the money was what they loved not each other, or maybe they do love each other but deep down inside. No one will ever know, but maybe the money is what
