The artist I chose to do this paper on was Underoath and the CD was called They're Only Chasing Safety.

Ð'* Track 1 "Young and Aspiring"

Instruments: Two Guitars, Bass, Drums and Keyboard.

Meaning: This song talks about what happens when a relationship doesn't work out. It

says that it's best to just grab everything that once reminded you of that person

and throw it away. Also it says how you can't have a relationship with

someone who is a "Walking disaster". You can never count on them.

Ð'* Track 2 "A Boy Brushed Red Living In Black And White"

Instruments: Two Guitars, Bass, Drums and Keyboard.

Meaning: This song is about when people make mistakes, like cheating on someone they

love and care about. All they want is the quick pleasure. After the mistake has

been made then they start to feel remorse and regret, but there's nothing left to

do now.

Ð'* Track 3 "The Impact Of Reason"

Instruments: Two Guitars, Bass, Drums and Keyboard.

No chorus.

Meaning: This one is about what someone feels when they know the relationship they're

in will not work out. When the love they once had, won't spark anymore. They

want to give up but dare not to.

Ð'* Track 4 "Reinventing Your Exit"

Instruments: Two Guitars, Bass, Drums and Keyboard.

Meaning: This song is about when there's someone in your life that you love, but they

always put you down. Whenever you're out having fun, or whenever you're at

home. They don't care about you're feelings or about what you have to say,

until one day you stop putting up with their stupidity and tell them to back

off.

Ð'* Track 5 "The Blue Note"

Instruments: Two Guitars, Bass, Drums and Keyboard.

Meaning: This is an instrumental song. It's about 30 seconds long that sounds like a slow

jazz song with people in the back talking on the phone. It leads into the next

song perfectly. Towards the end the tempo picks up and all of a sudden the

next song starts.

Ð'* Track 6 "It's Dangerous Business Walking Out Your Front Door"

Instruments: Two Guitars, Bass, Drums and Keyboard.

Sounds like the lead singer is singing into a megaphone through the whole

song.

Meaning: This song talks about getting your revenge from the people that have hurt you,

even if it's someone you love. Not caring about what you have to do in order

get back at them.

Ð'* Track 7 "Down,
