The employees' behavior should be influenced by the norms and values of the company they work for. UBS values and promotes leadership, energy, innovation, and teamwork. UBS's values directly affect their employees along with their clients because when their employees understand what goals need to be met it allows their clients to be successful. Through leadership and knowledge sharing the employees are creating an attractive work environment and promoting excellence. Having respect for other employees and putting in the time and contribution needed to get a job done is what creates good relationships among employees. Encouraging an entrepreneurial spirit allows each employee to strive to be more creative and reach for reward and promotion. Because the companies reputation is what they value they expect all employees to conduct themselves in a proper manner. The company has Employee Assistance Programs in place to support their employees. For example, EAP makes sure employees receive benefits and salary if they lose their job to restructuring. This program provides a measure of security to employees, which strengthens their commitment to the company. UBS values their employees and supports them, even after their career at USB has ended.

UBS's success is their client's success. They take time to "understand their objectives," and commit their resources "to develop effective solutions," helping to meet or exceed their goals. UBS's leaders demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment. Leaders in the company create better solutions, excellence in operation and expand market share. Leaders are held accountable across the company and UBS encourages collaboration and knowledge sharing to promote an appealing atmosphere.
