As soon as you walk in you know you are in Walmart. You feel a sense of security that does not exist in the outside world. This is because you have the understanding that when you walk in, you will find whatever you set out to purchase. That is my American Dream, to know that there is a place where I can go to find whatever I need and at whatever time I want.
You name it, Walmart has it. From Legos to flavor injectors you can find everything you need and then some. Walmart even has motion sensors to save energy on lights in the refrigerated section. Not only does it offer a wide selection of items to purchase, Walmart also sells them at very reasonable prices. This means that you can save more money on the everyday items you buy. A place that saves you money and offers convenience beyond compare is a secure dream that has been realized in the form of a supermarket.
Not only does Walmart offer great merchandise at affordable prices, it also helps out in the community. Help is offered in the form of jobs. The position of greeter is often held by someone who is elderly or who is mentally disabled and could not perform most other jobs. These jobs may not be the most important in the world but they can give someone a sense of pride or purpose in life. The jobs produced gives people with their own American Dream a chance to fulfill it through a place where they are treated equally by other employees. So Walmart not only gives you a sense of security, but can offer pride and purpose to those who may have lost it, or never had a chance to have it to begin with.
