Green credit, as an important part of green finance, plays a key role in accelerating its development and innovation to promote China's ecological environment construction and social sustainable development. The improvement of effective incentive and restrain mechanism and the establishment of an information sharing platform are the most suitable measures for solving the problems of Green Credit. This essay will first define Green Credit and analyze current implementation. Secondly, it will mainly focus on the problems existing in the development of Green Credit from different aspects of information sharing, product innovation and talent construction and mechanism. Finally, it will discuss how Green Credit could be solved effectively by taking the corresponding improvement measures. This essay aims to show that solving the problem of green credit will help China to realize the sustainable development of society and economy.
Situation
The definition of Green Credit
Green Credit means that banks and other financial institutions encourage enterprises to make environmental-friendly, energy-saving and emission eduction arrangements according to credit policies.(Nana ZHAO & Xuejun XU, 2012) It includes two different meanings. First of all, banks support enterprises to carry out environmentally-friendly projects through credit policies. Secondly, the illegal environmental protection laws and regulations of the project can be limited the amount of loans and implement punitive high interest rates for enterprises.
