What is child abuse?
According to World Health Organization Child abuse refers to all forms of physical and emotional ill-treatment, sexual abuse, neglect, and exploitation that results in actual or potential harm to the child’s health, development and dignity.
Introduction:
Child abuse has become one of the most fundamental social issue for the last couple of decades. In recent years we have seen an increase in child abuse in every societies in the world. Child abuse has become one of the most fundamental human rights issues for minors who are very young to speak up or defend for themselves.
We have chosen this topic to speak for these helpless kids and to expose the level of cruelty they go through which is very detrimental to their mental and physical health. We believe in this modern day and age child abuse needs to stop and children needs to be under great care and properly looked after in order to stop more children from being a victim of these vicious act. Child abuse does not only effect the victims but the society as whole gets effected. These victims will grow up to become more dangerous and vicious and they will also create a hostile environment in the society in future. Children gets mentally effected and this breaks them down mentally and creates a mental trauma from a very young age and it continues to stay with them and it leads to severe level of depression and in the long run this leads to adolescence committing suicide.
Purpose of the Study:
The reason why we choose this topic as our project is because Child Abuse has become a societies toughest barriers and as a reason the societies also gets effected by these activities. Child abuse has taken a toll in recent years and it has being on the rise since then. Children are the future of the world and it is our duty to make sure that they are born and bought up in a suitable environment and surrounding which will help foster their childhood and make their lives more worthwhile so that when they grow up they will also stand up for the moral values and help their generation to combat this Global issue. The main purpose of our study on this topic is mainly to address why Child abuse occurs in a society, what role can the public, government and other organizations play in combating child abuse and stop child abuse in 21st century
