Why America lost in the battle of Vietnam?
The battle of Vietnam was a nightmare for American and all the people in the world. Vietnam war occurred on1965-1975 roughly. This war was a battlefield for North Vietnamese which was occupied by communism against South Vietnamese(Republic of Vietnam), supported by America and other nations. This nightmare was ended by the reunification of Vietnam under the communist name, believe it or not this war it is mentioned as the longest for America which never been won, ever.
America as the superpower liberal country felt threatened against the communism. Communism was spreading quickly throughout the globe, for the third world country communism was welcomed as a perfect economic system that based on equality. While communism successfully conquered half of eastern Europe, East Asia(except Japan), and one country in Southeast Asia(Vietnam), America who declared the war against communism took a quick action to stop communism to spread by sending forces to South-Vietnam.
The first reason America lost the war was, they underestimated the tenacity and organization of North Vietnam. They forgot that many nations have attempted to exert Indochina unsuccessfully, Vietnam was one of it. In many wars before that, for instance the defeat of French has shown to the world that the leadership in Vietnam well demonstrated a strong national resistance to foreign domination. Secondly, the peace movement in America itself had many supports from almost every society in the country, It couldn’t be ignored by the government and it was impossible to do it, because government wants to be seen as a perfect organization by the people. The third reason is able to be connected to the first one, however it has different point. America was not ready for facing high number of casualities which kept going out during the war, the battlefield which commonly happened in the jungle
