- This book centers around diet and fitness strategies that people of today currently are relying on. Barrett talks about food as a drug, and things that we must eat in moderation. Also, the importance of exercise is focused on, with strategies of how to be succesful. Another thing that I was shocked to find in this book was the effect of television on obesity and peoples health.

Bascetta, C.A. (2006). Childhood obesity: Factors affecting physical activity. U.S. Government Accountability Office, 1- 25.

- This document focuses on the factors of childhood obesity that are affecting physical activity. The document says that demographic, cognitve and behavioral factors, and community factors are all possible causes of obesity. It also mentions lack of venue, or places for children to be physically active.

- This government document talks about the dramatic increse in childhood obesitiy and what factors may be contributing to it. It also focuses on what the government is trying to do to stop this problem. The document is filled with statistics that will be helpful when writing my analysis.

Fibkins, W. (2006). Teen obesity: How schools can be the number one solution to the problem. Lanham, Maryland: Rowman & Littlefield Education.

- This book focuses on how important it is for schools to take action in fighting obesity in teens. It gives suggestions to be taken by the school cafeterias, teachers and wellness programs. This book also greatly stresses the importance of physical activity.

- This book focuses on the obesiety in both adults and children. It goes into great depth about the history, consequenses and factors of obesity. Also, there is a large section of the text devoted to childhood obesiety, causes and what we can do to prevent it from being such a large issue.

guide to indentification, treatment and prevention. Chicago: American Dietetic Association.

- This book also talks about how obesity is becoming a huge concern, and shows the weight trends of children have increase dramatically. It also focuses on the health consequenses of being overweight, and also how to treat and prevent obesity. Another thing that the author touches on is counseling for the overweight person.

- This book starts off with a chapter describing the fattest generation. It also goes into detail about how size affects not only health, but also self esteem. The author gives quite a few good suggestions about how to teach children to eat healthy for the rest of their
