Why most poverty affect urban area rather than rural in Malaysia?

Poverty is where people don’t have ability to need the basis such as food, clothes, shelter, education, work and other than that. Then, in modern society we can see shortage is not having enough money and lack of material needs to life. Next, don’t have the capital or don’t have wealth for their work. Then, in traditional areas poverty don’t have many industry and government more focus in urban area (Anon., 2015).

The first affect is population urban more higher than rural areas. It is because the number of people, cars, public transport and other it higher than rural. Then, employment rate in urban higher compared than rural. This is because urban areas to move faster and they don’t have time to socialize but they have advantaged like have good technology such as smart phone, tablets, laptops, desktop and etc.

The first poverty in urban is many rural migrant to urban. It is because, their do have ability in professional to work and don’t have knowledge to help the agents employers. So, they go to urban to get the knowledge because their leave behind form the system social and system economy in urban. Other than that, life cost in urban it so high. For example, the earnings in urban not balance with their expense. So we can see here, the cost life in urban so high and encumber. Then, the urban cost life influence diverse aspect especially in inflation. However, inflation rate in 2009 is 3.9 percent this cases increase the cost urban live and influence the poverty rate in Malaysia (yee, 2010).

After that, poverty in urban is deficiency opportunity work. In Malaysia many people don’t have work because the work in county so limited. It is because many employers like take foreigner to work because they cheap. So we can see here, local person don’t has good ability than foreigner. Then, poverty give big effect in urban because this can defects in economic growth at the city. (yee, 2010)

Other than that, urban have another one factor to be the effect of poverty is overcrowding. It is because government must build more houses to society leave. However they don’t have enough money to pay high rent for houses. In this case they search cheap houses and from this emerge slum in urban area because it cost cheaper.

Besides that, household in urban increase and other case women take over men work like change their place with man in houses. Then, at urban when the gross less than RM 2, 300 per month it would be in poor categories and the gross in urban must RM 4, 705 in Malaysia this data in 2009. (ibrahim, 2011)

In conclusion, urban is one placing much industry, employment, and have new technologies but urban more poverty than rural. It is because, the city is a dumping ground for many of the unemployment population and many people don’t have work because work offered not enough.
