Should Christians Truly Value Art?
In the world, there are many different types of art. There is poetry, dance, song, comedy, film, architecture, painting, stories, symphonies, theater, and many more. What would it be like without it? If you would take a moment to realize what the world would be like without art, it would be a very bland place and there would not be much entertainment. These all are creative activities. God gives us talents to do certain ones very well, and some not so well. Creativity is a great human experience and definitely should not be taken for granted. Creativity can show that there is something eternal and full of truth behind this temporary world we live in today. It can show us the pain in us or even the joy in us. Creativity is complex and can bring out many emotions in us through poetry, which brings us together, Music, that moves us, paintings that show many different designs and viewpoints of life and many more forms.
True valuable art is slowly fading in our generation and creativity is being shown more on websites we visit and even in the advertisements online. Everyone has been seeing it. If we are on a social media site, like facebook or instagram, you can see the aspects of different people through art or you can see the cruel life we are living in and how rude and harsh some people can truly be. If you are to go online, you can see photography of different things. On some pages you will find bright happy colored pictures and on some you will find gloomy, sad photos. This shows you the aspect
of their life and how they may be living it. On some people's “profiles” you can see profanity and bad pictures of them, and you can see that they are not living a very godly life. To those people you need to show them the Lord and how art can be used for other things then expressing hate.
