In the story of Much Ado about Nothing by William Shakespeare there were many events that occurred in the end of the story. The theme has been carried out through out the entire novel, in this

section of there story we as the audience are reveal with a event that deals with appearance vs. reality. In this section of the story Hero appears that she is dead and she really is not, and her family gives her a

funeral with all her friends attending, but the reality is, she is not dead and she is faking her death. She does this to make Claudio appreciate her, and this causes confusion to some of the characters in the

story, but at the end of the story it ends up being clear why she faked her death.

The reason why she faked her death was because she wanted Claudio to realize that he still loves her, and to make he realizes that she is more precious than life it self, and to not take Hero for

granted, she wanted him to realize that he would miss her if she wasn't on this earth and if she was dead. Hero really made Claudio believed that she died and he did realize how much he appreciated her, and

loves her.While attending the funeral Claudio has written an death poem, celebrating Hero's innocence and grieving the slander that he thinks led to her death. He reads the epitaph out loud and hangs it upon

the tomb. He tells everybody and promises that he will come and read it here at this time every year, and will never forget to do so. "Tonite ill mourn with Hero" pg.177, Act 5 sc.2, this was the appearance.
