Among 10,000 applications per year, only 17 applicants made it to the WBG cohort - how do we stand out from the sea of application? And what sort of unique qualities are you looking for when you select a candidate?

Hello! Could WBG analysts apply to the YPP upon completion of the analyst program? If so, do their chances of getting into the YPP increase or decrease because their status as former beneficiaries of one of the WB's youth programs?

Hello h!, Upon completion of the WBG Analyst Program you could indeed apply to the YPP too.
However, note that you would have gone through a similar development curriculum so the benefits would not be as great.
Also, at the end of the WBG Analyst Program if you came with a master's degree you could potentially meet the eligibility criteria to apply to an officer's position which is the level Young Professionals are recruited.

Hi! I have many questions.
1) What is the application timeline for this program, including resume drop, interview dates, notification dates, and start dates for chosen applicants?
2) What are the characteristics/personal qualities of a good candidate for this program?
3) What is the structure of the application process, particularly the interviews? Specifically, will there be case interviews, simulations, and written tests in addition to the behavioral components?
4) What are expected outcomes of the program for candidates?
For current WB Analysts:
4) What is something you wish you knew about the program before joining?
5) What has made you successful in your role?
6) Why did you join the program?
