World War II is all around the USA but they still choose to remain out of it. With the US's "isolationism" policy - the belief that political ties to other countries should be avoided - they are staying out the fighting completely but are offering a lend/lease program to certain countries. We'll see how well this policy will work for the US.

Britain and France were recently preparing for war when Mussolini proposed a meeting between Germany, France, Britain, and Italy in Munich, Germany. This meeting has been called the Munich Conference and was held on September 29th. Along with the Munich Conference another meeting was recently held between Britain, France, and the USSR. Britain and France were the one who invited the USSR because they wanted help in stopping Hitler's aggression. The meeting ended with the Nazis and the Soviets siging the Nonagression Pact.

Later on Germany sparks a new war in Europe by moving through numerous territories. These territories include the Rhineland, Austria, and Czechoslovakia. From there Hitler moves onto Poland and demands that the Polish Corridor along with its port cit, Danzig, be returned to Germany. This request is not done.

After being denied of his demands Hitler moves on Poland with lighting fast speed. Hitler made a surprise attack at dawn of September 1, 1939. This attack was the first test of Germany's new battle strategy called the blitzkrieg or "lightning war". The strategy worked like a charm, well, for Germany.

After Hitlers occupied the western half of Poland the Soviets, on September 17, made their move to take over the eastern half.

In May of 1940 Hitler began his strategic attack on France by sweeping through Holland, Belgium, and Luxembourg. After occupying all of those countries Hitler sent even more troops and tanks to slice through the Ardennes which was a heavily forested area in northeastern France
