Network Model

The way that networks are constructed and connected. The connection are physically and electrically made . It would be the communication path between machines . In Plus Expressway Berhad , the machines are constructively using a card (TouchnGo) ,a tag machine (SmartTag) and the newest,RFID tag.

Peer-to-peer

A peer-to-peer (P2P) service is a decentralized platform whereby two individuals interact directly with each other, without intermediation by a third-party. Instead, the buyer and the seller transact directly with each other via the P2P service. Some peer-to-peer services don't involve an economic transaction, such as buying and selling, but they do bring together individuals to work on joint projects, share information or communicate without intermediation. But , unlike in Plus Expressway Berhad , they do involve in an economic transaction. There is a greater risk that the provider of the service may fail to deliver, that the service will not be of the quality expected, or that the buyer may not pay. This extra risk is often defrayed by reduced transaction costs and lower prices. Often, businesses are created with the intent of facilitating P2P transactions and reducing risk for both buyer and seller. The majority of P2P services today are offered online. A peer-to-peer network is designed around the concept of equal peer nodes, simultaneously functioning as both "clients" and "servers" to the other nodes on the network. This model of network arrangement differs from the client–server model where communication is usually to and from a central server. Likely in Plus Expressway Berhad, on the first beginning there are starting by using tickets and paid by cash. When it started to growing and the technology become more  useable and more fast , there coming with a service using a card which is called TouchNGo . No money were being used , although they only just need to topup the credit to the card only. After that, Plus made a tag machines which the card just put inside the machine without tagged it, just go through it. In this, Plus interact much more with the users. Not just by using the highway that they build, also the service that are they making which are connected and become more useful for the users.

Client-server network

A client-server network involves multiple clients, or workstations, connecting to at least one central server. Most data and applications are installed on the server. When clients need access to these resources, they access them from the server. Servers often have private user directories as well as multiple public directories.Client-server networks tend to have faster access speeds because of the large number of clients they are designed to support. The clients are allowed to function as workstations without sharing any resources. It is easier to upgrade software applications and files because they are held on one single computer. System-wide services can be provided through the server software. Security is enhanced on a client server network because the security is handled by the server . In Plus Expressway Berhad , we are using Ada service server network , which is  domains such as avionics and defense where reaching the highest levels of software reliability is imperative.

VOICE COMMUNICATION.

Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is an advanced technology that allows its users to make calls using broadband Internet instead of an analog phone system. In Internet telephony, VoIP is sound converted into digital voice communication before being transferred through Internet broadband. Many modern companies are using high technology business telephone systems and VoIP to make their business calls. The system allows entrepreneurs to make calls from their desktops or laptops provided these smart devices are connected to a VoIP phone. There are numerous benefits associated with the use of these systems.

In Plus Expressway Berhad used it which can save substantial amounts of money due to the low cost of calls involved. Unlike the convention telephone lines where placing an international call can be extremely expensive, doing the same via Internet is very cheap. As a matter of fact making long distance domestic calls is absolutely free of charge for VoIP-using businesses. This communication system is saving thousands ringgit for us on a monthly and annual basis. The interesting thing about a VoIP converter is that it can be plugged into any computer due to its USB memory stick-like nature. This system enhances our mobility and flexibility since we can use the VoIP system literally anywhere. It make us keep in touch with our clients or coworkers, conduct meetings, exchange files/documents . Our company most likely to experience increased productivity when we can multi-task uninterrupted. This is made possible by the mere fact that resources which would have otherwise been allocated to conventional phone bills can be directed to other important business engagements. VoIP technology has enhanced communication in businesses, leading to increased overall productivity.

SECURITY MEASURES

In Plus Expressway Berhad, we have a range of security measures in place to our their business data, our cashflow and our purchasing items. These measures should aim to prevent risks from a number of sources, including internet-borne attacks, eg spyware or malware ,user generated weaknesses, eg easily guessed password or misplaced information , inherent system or software flaws and vulnerabilities , subvert system or software features .

These processes and tools are fairly straightforward to introduce . Combined, these give us a basic level security against the most common IT risks.
