Acceptance of Death

In several of Bradbury’s short stories he employs the recurring theme of “Acceptance of Death’’ to push the reader to reflect on their own life. He cautions the reader against living on an empty life. He wants them to explore how humans react on there final steps of there death. What do you think the characters steps will be as they come to there final steps of life?
In the short story “Kaleidoscope” Ray Bradbury shows how sometimes you have to accept that you are going to die. It is not your fault that you are going die so you just have to understand that you can not do anything about it. Bradbury’s major point of the story is that, Hollis accepts his death but wishes he could have one last influence in his death. Hollis knows he’ll burn upon entering its atmosphere and he can not redirect him self or anything to stop him from burning. Lespere is telling him that he has a wife on every planet close by; Hollis tells him: “Lespere it doesn't matter, since it is all over.’’ As everyone is saying goodbye to Hollis as they all fade alway, Hollis wishes he could do something or could be put to use before he enters the Earths atmosphere and is going to die. Hollis feels like he has accomplished nothing worthwhile in his life as he and the rest of his crew fall certainly to their departure in outer space because of a malfunction in their ship. Hollis wishes he could have done more and he is not happy about how of a person he was; He is not happy or sad or anything, he is just wishing he could do something good that everything is gone and vanished away. He feels desperation because he knows there is nothing he can not change the life he lived or what is happening right now. Hollis wishes he could have done more to save his life and done more things in his life but at the same time he understands.
