A Refreshing Bottle of “Bacardi”
What makes one product of rum different from another? Products of rum come in different varieties for example there is light rum, golden rums, and dark rums. These rums make their presence to their customers by television, magazines, billboards etc… The companies of this distilled beverage have to convince their customers by advertising as much as possible that their rum is the highest-quality rum there is. One company of rum, Bacardi ships 25 million cases of rum annually to 180 countries worldwide. http://www.fundinguniverse.com The newest Bacardi product is the Bacardi & Diet Cola which is being advertised in the magazine.
The colors that dominate the background of the advertisement are the red and black with white big bold letters. The background of the ad is basically covered with the product’s black logo which stands out without a problem. The logo is a bat with wings wide open enclosed in a circle. Above the logo are the big bolded white letters, which states a question that refers to the new Bacardi’s nutrition facts. The lettering is also big, white and bolded. We also see the products website address to seek more information about the product since the ad does not have much information. Along the side of the ad is a bottle of Bacardi which contains the cleared liquid. Parts of the Bacardi bottle is wrapped around with white paper stating everything an ordinary bottle has. Beside the Bacardi rum bottle sits a refreshing cup of Bacardi filled with ice and mixed with Diet Cola ready to be drunk. At the bottom of the advertisement it states “Live like you meant it” followed again by the products logo.
This specific ad is basically for people who like to drink cocktails. The most noticeable object from the ad is the Bacardi’s logo, which is put so customers know what to look for when wanting to buy this product. Also, so that the customers don’t get mixed up with other rum products around since there are many of them around the store. The logo of the rum is very creative. It’s a bat with wings wide open signifying that every customer is welcomed and should feel “free” to try it. The color red, which dominates the whole ad, is basically to catch the attention of all the readers since the color red attracts many people since it’s a very bright color. The question being stated “Who knew?” provides the customers what they are dealing with (Nutrition facts). The question is like saying why blow your calories when you could sip on a refreshing Bacardi and diet cola instead? The drink contains
