Question section

Is it true what Bebeto says about the amount of trees cut down per year, will it be constant? it means, would the community earn the same amount each year?

According to Bebeto’s proposal and considering that his model meets the optimal conditions so that the growth of the planted trees happens at the same pace for every group of new plantation, then we can assume that the amount of trees cut per year and therefore the yearly utility will remain constant each year, as it can be observed in Chart 1.

How much utility will have the community if per each cut tree they earn 1000 MXN and the planting cost is 250 MXN?

Considering the stablished revenue and cost, which remains fixed every year, the utility will be $363,000 MXN.

What is the behavior through time of the amount of trees cut? What will be the reactions of the administrators of the place if they only care of the annual sales?

The amount of trees cut through time will be constant at 484 trees per year. The reaction of the administrators can be of disapproval since it may be sensed that more trees can be cut each year resulting in a higher earning.

In 20 years how many adult trees will be there, and how many young trees?

Since this amount stabilized after the fifth year and then they remain constant every year will present 1980 adult trees and 2,420 young trees.
