“Beware of Dog” is a sort story about a British Royal Air Force piolet who was shot down during World War II. When his plane was shot his leg was damaged to the piont were it would have to be amputated. When he bailed and lost consciousness he ended up in a hospital in German ocupied France. He thought he was in Great Britin.
The Junkers Ju 88 was a World War II German twin-engine, multi-role aircraft. It was one of the most versatile combat aircraft of the war. It was used as a bomber, fighter, torpedo bomber, and reconnaissance aircraft. Despite its protracted development, the Ju 88 became one of the German’s most crucial assets.
The Supermarine Spitfire was a British fighter used by the Royal Air Force and many other Allied countries during World War II, and into the 1950s. It was produced in greater numbers than any other Allied design. The Spitfire was the only Allied fighter in production at the outbreak of World War II that was still in production at the end of the war.
The German occupation of France in World War II occurred between May of 1940 to December of 1944. As a result of the disastrous defeat of the Allied armies in the Battle of France, the French Cabinet sought a cessation of hostilities. The armistice was signed 22 June 1940 at Compiegne. Under its terms the north and west of France were occupied by the German Army, the remaining one third of the country was ruled by a French government.
In my opion Beware of Dog is a great short story that follows the interesting path of a british piolet in World War II. It was indeed apropiet for our age group and I would recommend it to anybody looking for a good read.
