Do you want to know how is Bhopal like now? After the incident in Bhopal many people suffered for this situation. In this essay I want to tell about: If the people still suffering, what support do they have now, and it is the plan open.
People are still suffering for this incident. More than 20 years after the Union Carbide gas disaster in Bhopal, more of 100,000 people in the city are still seriously ill and the drinking water. More of 20,000 people have been poisoned by chemicals leaking from the abandoned plant. More than 50,000 people are disabled due to injuries. The amount of compensation Union Carbide paid to the survivors has not been enough to cover basic medicines.
What support does Bhopal have now? Bhopal now has supporters across the world. In Sambhavna Clinic in Bhopal all consultations, treatments, therapies and medicines are completely free. In April 2005 a new clinic in Bhopal was opened with the help to all the contributed and donations to help the people in Bhopal.
The plant in Bhopal is not open. The abandoned factory site remains the same as the day that Carbide's employees ran for their lives. All the pesticides and toxic continues to leak into the neighbor hood well water supply.
In conclusion, people in Bhopal are still suffering for this big deserter.
