Our country has been suffering from a great foe. It has led to many sicknesses and deaths. This great foe is of course obesity. By 2006 only 4 states had below 20% of obese population, two states had above 30%. In the age group of 20-74 50% of women are obese. This is going pretty crazy and out of hand. I have a great way solve this problem. Nation will become fitter and healthier following this solution. This plan will boost the nation as a whole economically and physically. 33 million dollars are used by obese people every year for purchase of weight loss products which don’t work and many more are wasted on health care services. Now it is time to defeat obesity and put some of that money back into our economy. Obesity is defined as having Body Mass Index over 30. In my opinion people should be a taxed according to their BMI with price of $100 per each BMI over 30. Every two years tax will increases by 10% if less than 5 BMI levels have been dropped. There are around 100 million obese people in the nation and on average their BMI is 45. This plan will make around 175 billion dollars. There will be a long term financial benefit too because health care will cost less due to healthiness of the people.

BMI tax is the biggest part of the solution but is not the only one. Schools will be segregated between kids of different BMI levels because obesity is regarded as disease and it can spread. People with obesity will not be able to eat certain foods in restaurants or buy big mounds of food in the stores. BMI information will be included in people’s fingerprints and credit cards. Minimum amount of $540 must be paid for fitness club, $45 a month, even if the person doesn’t ever go there. Physical exercise will be encouraged by making of the parking spaces for obese people in the end of parking lot. If they are caught parking anywhere else than in the designated area their privileges from riding any transportation will be taken away.
