This notebook computer will be used by a college student. The student will mainly use it for basic word processing, CD burning, internet browsing, power point presentations, downloading music to an MP3 device, and watch DVDs. The student will also use it to take notes in class.
The notebook is a Latitude D510 with an Intel Celeron M Processor 360. The operating system is the Genuine Windows XP Professional. This is perfect for a college student. Memory is 512MB SDRAM; good to check or send email, web surf or do home productivity at the same time you are editing photos or playing music. Includes a built in 80GB internal hard drive which provides plenty of storage for music, videos, and other files. The notebook also includes an internal 56K modem. To watch DVD movies, install software, copy music onto the notebook and then onto rewritable CDs, and occasionally backup data, music and pictures a CD-RW/DVD combo drive is also included. The monitor has a 14.1 x GA display used for basic emailing, word processing, and internet.
A Dell photo all-in-one printer is also purchased accompanied with the USB cable to print, copy, and scan. In addition a wireless mouse is purchased. The computer does have a port for a flash drive as well as a port for a portable keyboard. There is not however a floppy drive available. A 65 W A/C adapter comes included in the price. Some other additions made are a modem cable and a 6 cell primary battery. A web camera is also purchased.
The total cost of this computer with accessories and shipping and tax included is $1246.93.
