Computer Components
The computer that I am using is my home computer. It is about one year old. It is a Hewlett Packard Pavilion a819n. It has an Intel Pentium 4 processor with Hyper Threading Technology. It has 512 megabytes memory. It has built in DVD/CD burner. The operating system on this computer is Windows XP.
A computer is a devise, controlled by an operator that is used to input, output, and process information. Input devises are used to put information into the computer. A few different input devises that my computer has is a scanner, the mouse, the keyboard, digital camera, a microphone, a router, and a cable modem. An output devise is used to send information out of the computer. Some of the output devises that my computer uses is a printer and speakers.
My computer has many different software programs. I have Microsoft Office which includes Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. I have Adobe Photoshop Deluxe, which is used to edit pictures and develop posters and signs. I also have Kodak Easy Share for editing smaller scale picture images. I have iTunes for downloading music. I have several anti-virus programs which include AVG Free Edition and Norton Antivirus 2005. I have so much more downloaded on my computer, but these are the programs that I use the most and that I am the most familiar with.
For the most part, my computer is pretty basic. I have a few things that I have put on here for my personal benefit, but for the most part, it has all the basic information that a computer today comes with.
