When a person chooses a party or candidate to vote for in a presidential election it is important to choose the one that best represents your beliefs and the one who would be beneficial to our country as a whole. The Democrat and Republican Party have many different agendas, even though they hold similar positions on major issues in politics. Democrats are pro-abortion. Republicans are pro-life. Democrats are for gay marriage. Republicans support the traditional marriage between a man and woman. Democrats want to remove all guns from citizens. Republicans want to implement gun control. Democrats are pro-union. Republicans are pro-business. Democrats want to use taxes to fund programs for our schools. Republicans want volunteers to host programs for schools. Democrats have decided to take god out of the schools. Republicans have decided god should be a part of our schools and education. Democrats are for raising taxes. Republicans are for tax cuts. Democrats want to cut military funding. Republicans want a strong military. Democrats are against the death penalty. Republicans are for the death penalty.
In the Democrat and Republican Party there are both conservative and liberal issues in the differences I have listed above. Each person has to make a choice that best represents him or her in an election. I have categorized myself in an independent party because I find my beliefs and views supported in both parties. For me, as I'm sure it will be for you, this was a deeply personal choice, however a very necessary choice to make.
