The color blue is something beautiful that can not only be seen, but felt. Using other senses to understand the color blue can be difficult but nonetheless worth it. The color blue can be soft like a baby’s skin or it can be deep and dark like the cry of a wolf at midnight. The many variations of the color blue can be described through different senses. Touch, sound, and taste are other ways to paint a mental picture of the color blue.
The color blue feels like a cool breeze that tingles the skin. It’s gives the sensation of a cold day. It can often feel depressing or calming. Some describe the color blue as to mean sadness. Some describe it as to be relaxing and liberating. Feeling blue is not only a figure of speech. Feeling the color blue can be physically done.
The color blue can be understood through sound. A light blue can be described as morning birds chirping outside after a misty rain. A dark blue can be described as the piercing cry of a wolf at midnight. Lighter blues can be depicted through soft, calming sounds, while darker blues are more easily visualized through chilling, scary sounds. Blue is ultimately better understood through sounds made by nature.
Blue can be depicted through taste. Tasting a glass of water on a hot and humid day describes blue very well. The color blue is clean and fresh like a glass of water. It’s refreshing and leaves a feeling of appreciation. The taste of water in itself describes the color blue beautifully. Simple, fresh, and clean are easy ways of understanding blue.
