Descriptive WritingNoun: Paris
Senses: Sight, Hearing
As I stumble out the tiny cramped elevator before me lies a beautiful view of Paris. Snowflakes gently fall down on me and on the world underneath me on this beautiful cool winter night. The stars mimic the image of the glowing homes below, suddenly interrupted by the screaming sounds of car horns. I look around only to see couples everywhere. I hear them giggling and talking reminding me of home. Caught off guard was me by the people below looking like tiny ants with fur on them. I look across all of Paris to see smoke rising from the chimneys. It all looks like a floating blanket of snow just gently hovering above the grey cobble stone houses. I turn around to my amusement of a soft melody playing right in front of me. I think to myself; this is home.
Sense: Smell, Taste
Something distracted me. This time it was a aromatic smell that caught me off guard. I smelt a sweet dark chocolate smell. I then took another sniff and smelt a nice oven baked croissant. To my surprise a short waiter wobbled over to me and presented a golden brown croissant with dark chocolate drizzled over it. As I gently pick it up trying not to break the beautifully decided croissant. As I go in for my first bite I get a great waft of the delicious croissant. The first bite was amazingly delicious. The warm chocolate complimented the golden crispy brown croissant taste. It was like a dream come true. As I engulfed the last bite I could taste the soft inside of the croissant. I sit back and relax and enjoy the view of Paris this night.
Sense: Feel
The snow started to fall down quicker. As the gentle snowflakes hit my face I feel a quick and cool shiver down my spine. Once a cold snowflake, turns into a warm droplet of water running quickly down my cheek leaving a trail on my cheek.
