To start off, does anyone know what erudition means? I did not so I had to look it up. It means, "Deep, extensive learning." I agree with this principle. I believe it's important to pass on your knowledge to students so as to help them not make the mistakes or fall into the traps that you did. It's important for teachers to pass on the tricks that we all know and have picked up in our own schooling. I had a teacher in high school, Mr. Yokohama who really helped me with my time management. In high school I played baseball on three teams, had a job, a girlfriend, homework, etc. I was really going crazy my junior year because I was trying to juggle all these things at once. As a result, my grades began to suffer. Mr. Yokohama taught Kinesiology and after class one day he pulled me aside and explained to me that he knew what I was going through and that he wanted to help me. He told me to meet him after school in his office. I met him and there he told me to write down all my activities, then he had me rank them in order of importance. After that he said that I needed to plan my time better. He gave me a planner and had me write in when and how much time I would spend on each activity. Along with that, Mr. Yokohama showed me how to distribute my homework so that I could get it all done over the week. Mr. Yokohama said that now that it was in the planner, I had to stick to it. He told me he went through the same thing and that this helped him when he was my age.
