- Essential Skills are the Soft Skills needed by Job Seekers to be able to get a Job and succeed in it.
- NACE (2013) noted that “what makes a new graduate stand out from equally qualified competitors…is the evidence of the ‘soft skills’ needed in the workplace. Employers prize skills such as communication skills, the ability to work in a team, and problem-solving skills.”
- Unfortunately Soft Skills are among the most lacking Skills in Job Seekers
- Each sector has its priorities for the required Soft Skills

- Read each attribute carefully and on a scale from 1 to 5 rate each attribute according to your level of agreement to the statement.
- Whenever an attribute is scored 1 or 2 include a list of actions to improve your skills
