People living in poverty are suffering in an everyday life. Poverty is hunger. Poverty is lack of shelter. Poverty is being sick and not being able to see a doctor. Poverty is not being able to go to school, not knowing how to read, not being able to speak properly. Poverty is not having a job, fear for the future and living one day at a time. Poverty is losing a child to illness brought about by unclean water. Poverty is powerlessness, lack of freedom. Poverty is a common social issue that has troubled nations for thousands of years. While nations like the United States of America have worked really hard to eradicate it domestically, it still widely exists internationally. In the article Architecture of Segregation it states that the people living in high poverty, ghettos, barrios, and slums that poverty has nearly doubled since 2000, rising from 7.2 million to 13.8 million. Poverty became more concentrated more than one of four of the black poor and nearly one of six Hispanics live in poor neighborhoods of bad poverty. Poor children are mostly likely to have high poverty than adults do. Detroit is the number city living in poverty. The total of high poverty has increased of the years in states, cities and other areas such as Metropolitan, Detroit while the number of high poverty increases over the years most poor people do not live in high poverty neighborhoods. Specific areas such as Metropolitan areas with high poverty, starting with African Americans poor, the most concentrated area is metropolitan area. One of the primary concerns about high-poverty neighborhoods is the potential impact on children and adolescents development. Unfortunately poor kids are know for living in high poverty. 16.5 percent of children under six are living in poverty compared to 13.8 percent of adults are living in poverty. Non poor people are far less to live in poverty areas. Poverty is the state of the majority of the world’s people and nations. Most people living in poverty living just a few dollars a day. Poor people will also have less health access , education and many more. Around the world rich and poor nations, poverty has always been present. Around 21,000 children die everyday because of poverty. One child die every 4 seconds, 14 children die minute. The silent killers is poverty,easily prevents diseases and illnesses, and other related causes. Long term alleviation hunger is rooted in the alleviation of poverty. Poverty has been a consistent problem throughout history. No matter what the median income, unemployment or overall prosperity level is, there will always be people who are homeless and hungry. in United States Poverty Studies and Poverty Measurement: The Past Twenty-Five Years, poverty has been a steady condition in United States history. Not only that, but today there is even more discussion focused on the “culture and race of poverty”. Most often poverty is a situation people want to escape. So poverty is a call to action - for the poor and the wealthy alike - a call to change the world
