Fire is generally known as combustion or burning, in which substances combine chemically with oxygen from the air and typically give out bright light, heat, and smoke. However to us millennials, fire has different other various meanings in literal definitions and when used in slang. Fire is one of those words that continues to be used differently in different contexts. This why there are 6 different ways the word can be used besides its literal meaning.

The cool thing about fire is that it also can be used for zodiac signs. The Fire signs are Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius. The signs of the Zodiac are grouped in four triplicities based on their element. They’re personalities are very spontatuis, very inspiring, intuitive and they have large passions. The Fiery guys and girls are usually excited, being impulsive, and love to light a fire under others. The zodiac symbols represent the fire without using its literal definition. Fire can be used as personality based on the zodiac signs. Its a strong, fierce, intimidating and powerful is usually associated with a fire personality. To sum up what fire is can be used also as personality trait.

“Yooo bro, I got that fire” is what most people will hear walking near any housing project in the Bronx. This simply means he has some good marijuana in his possession. By him saying he has some “fire”, he is informing you that he’s willing to sell his drugs too. So feel special because he won't say that for anyone because he’s afraid of getting caught by the police. This word is just used to cover up what the drug dealer really is saying. Another way this term of fire can be used “Hey cuzzo, you know where the fireman at?” or “Yerrr blood who got that fire”? These expressions were just saying do you know where the marijuana man at? And who has that marijuana? As you can see the way fire is used here is completely different then the literal definition.

While fire can associate with drugs and a literal fire, it can also be used as a term of endearment, most of the time it can be used like “Hey Joshua, them sneakers are fire”. It is kind of saying is woah those are some really nice
