It began whispering in the air. The day had been beautiful and the sky was like a dome of plasma blue. As time went by the breezes became stronger, dark clouds started to fill the sky, and as the last patch of blue was covered, a cool breeze past as people started to huddle up together. Slowly drops of rain started to fall, people brought out their umbrellas but some had forgotten. Sidewalks started to flood and the only place to stand was underneath a tree. The rain became heavier and heavier, as everyone’s clothes where drenched with the rain water. The anticipation of the arrival of the bus seemed longer as, the rain kept falling. No one thought it would end. As time went by the sound of rain hitting the top of house roofs became louder, you could feel the rain sliding down your arm down to your fingertips. As time went by everyone’s sight became blurry as the sight of rain would fill their eyes. The time waiting for the bus would soon feel like hours as the rain fell upon your skin. Soon you could hear nothing but the rain hitting the concrete. When we saw the bus arriving it felt amazing that we finally had a way to stay out of the rain for a while. On the bus everyone was soaked, but glad to not be outside. You could see the rain dropping for everyone hair. When we got off the bus the rain had not stopped but it got worse, every step felt horrible, it felt as if I was getting pulled back. All that was thought of was just to walk because there was nowhere else to go. You couldn’t run because you would fall, you could only be trapped underneath the sky. Soon you felt alone like there was nothing else but you and the rain, you felt like you where tiny and that the world was trying to drown you. In the distance you could see home, it felt close but every step you took towards it you felt like you were back where you started, as the rain dripped down your chin, and you cleared your eyes you were closer, at this moment you didn’t even care anymore there was nothing you could do you just wanted to make it home. That feeling of relief when you reached your door step and walked inside, it felt good, knowing that you had shelter to be under.
