Honesty

In my experience, I have never been faulted for being honest in my business dealings with others. I have experienced others not being honest with me, and this has caused major conflict in the workplace. Most recently, one of my vendors lied to me on a few occasions. It is very difficult to work with someone who has no credibility. Although the company moved their employee who lied to me to a different department and replaced our contact with someone else, we now have a strained relationship with this company.

Quality

Delivering quality in your business dealings with others affects the success of the proposed solution. A situation that is not handled properly poorly affects business relationships and the decision that is made. In my experience, if I come to the table having done my research and fully prepared to discuss a topic from my angle, then I have delivered a quality interaction and gained myself credibility. If all the people involved bring the same level of quality to the table, the business decision making process is much easier, efficient and effective.

Efficiency

My experience has proven that it is crucial to be efficient in your daily tasks as well as in your dealings with others. This is especially true in working for a non-profit company where you do not commonly have the luxury of hiring another employee. Everyone in my organization has several different responsibilities, which forces us to be efficient in our business dealings.
