Question 1.What in your opinion is the meaning of an invigilator?
Answer 1. According to me invigilator is the person with various responsibilities, such as maintaining decorum during examinations. His main task is to start the examination at the prescribed timing and then he needs to supervise all the students during examinations so that they do not follow any unfair means during examination. And finally he needs to collect the examination papers back from the students as soon as the time duration gets over and forward papers department in an organized way.
Question 2. In your past experience is there any part of your working performance that you would like to improve?
Answer 2. During the times when I use to work in an Event Management Company, then i generally led a team of 45 people. But once when I was asked to handle another team of 32 people alongside, so my output performance decreased a bit as I wasn’t habitual of handling a team of this size. So I would again like to go into that scenario where I can get another chance of handling a large team to prove my skills.
Question 3. Should the Exams office hire any of the following candidates listed below? Please state your reason for or against for each candidate listed below:
1. Graduate students
2. People from the community
3. Professors and TA only.
4. Undergraduate Students
Answer 3.
1. Yes, as graduate students are having good experience of giving examinations, so they know that what all problems do the students face during examinations and the unfair means the students could use. So they are the ideal supervisors.
2. No, as these people might not take up the task very seriously also they would be from various fields so they may lag in experience.
3. No, Both these people are those which have in depth knowledge of the subjects so there could be chances that they might help few students out of the way during examinations.
4. Yes, even undergraduate students shall be given a few chances of invigilating examinations as the knowledge they will gain at this time would be helpful for them when they will invigilate the examinations at a later stage.
