Failing Company

The technology of the twenty first century is always changing; new programs, software, as well as new products are always being produced. The competition among companies who produce these products is very high. The companies must constantly be on the edge and ready to create newer and more technologically advanced products.
Most product companies go many years without having to make changes to their products however, some companies are forced to change. The majority of companies fear change which leads to their failure. One such company is the one in which I recently obtained a manager position for, that company is Xerox.
Xerox a company that has been in business for over 100 years as since it was originally found as the Haloid Company in 1906. The company has slowly taken a turn for the worst and is heading toward a financial slum. Companies such as Lexmark, Kodak, Hewlett Packard, and Dell provide printers, scanners, copiers, and fax machines. The need for Xerox copier machines has decreased substantially due to companies such as the ones previously listed.
As a new manager at this company there are many changes that I would put into effect. My first task I would put into action is to speak with the research and development team about products they have on the design table and how they can change them to provide our customers with the same services that the other product companies provide. This will allow us to reach a larger list of consumers.
There are other tasks in which I would put into motion such as, persuading our employees to invest in stocks and shares of our company to boost our market value to a positive value. The next task I would implement is speaking to the advertisement department and suggest to them to target residential, commercial, and industrial businesses so that we do not limit our consumers.
