First Thespain Experience

The seismic snap of pads clashing together. Guys grunting every time they get smacked; testosterone, and all that is man. Nothing was more rewarding then making that tackle and helping win a game of football. I loved it, but I quit. Mostly because the coaches were teaching us to hit the other players in places that, well lets just say it would make a grown man cry. To think we had the reputation of being one of the cleanest playing teams in the district. Anyway, the point is I quit, and because my brother was my only ride home, and he had to stay for drama practice I'd stay in the back and wait, trying to be the least annoying possible. After a few practices the director, Ms.Cummings, asked me if I would open and close the curtains for the show and I said yes. I mean I had nothing better to do. And before I knew it I was writing in light and sound quos for the show. However, at the last minute Ms.Cummings got two other techies to run lights and sound, and that left me with just the curtains.
The show was about to go on, and it was almost time to open the curtains. I had never been so nervous and had such a rush of adrenaline ( keep in mind I was only opening the curtains). The show was a big hit, and afterwards I thought I had concurred the world But that left the question: What next? The answer, One Act Play. It would consume the next four years, nay the rest of my life.
When the opportunity of doing it for one act popped up I jumped at the chance. As I had done before I was at every practice writing quos for every thing and trying to learn as much about lights and sound as I could. Then two weeks before we were to go to contest my brother, who had a part in the play, found out that he had to go audition for a scholarship to go to school the day of contest. So they gave mew the part, but only that one performance if we advanced my brother got the part back. I had never done anything like this before and I had two weeks to get ready for contest that meant six practices. I was freaked. The two weeks passed faster than
