Food hygiene

Hygiene is referring to the condition where by clean in order to maintain health and prevent the spread of diseases. Food hygiene was define as had good keeping quality, was safe to consumer, and free from micro-organisms (Hobbs and Robert, 1993; Becker, 2003). Meanwhile, MacLauchlin and Little (2007) defined food hygiene education as the ‘process of acquiring knowledge and training for the prevention and control of food-borne disease’. The poor safety practices of hygiene can lead to food-borne illness where by it usually include stomach problems or stomach upset. Based on the National institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Disease, foodborne illness are infection or irritations of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract auesed by food or beverages that contain harmful bacteria, parasite, viruses or chemicals. Besides, the symptoms of this illness is vomitting, diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, abdominal pain , fever and chills. Mc swane (2000) added that food hygiene was also concerned with cleanliness of the premise, vehicles used for transporting food, and proper seperation of raw from cooked foods. Food safety encompassed all condition and measures necessary for the safety of food and the prevention of potential causes by food poisoning.

Besides for food hygiene, water hygiene also importance in our life to keep healthy physical. Water hygiene refers to to practices which preserve the health of water system, such as rinking water supplies, cooling towers, air handling units, swimming pools, spa pools, domestic water systems supplying showers or any application where an aerosal spray could be generated. (www.clearwater.eu.com). water being an essential commodity in the food industry uses extensive for drinking, cleaning and preparing food, washing up,washing hands and so on. Therefore, the untreated water or contaminated water can cause infection and disease spread in youu health physically such as stomach ache at least, Typhoid , Cholera, Parathyphoid Fever and else. According to (Zulfikar A. Bhutta, 2015), Cholera is a diarrhea disease that caused by infection with bacteria Vibro cholera where by it was water and food borne disease. The tips to have water hygiene is boiled the water at least one minute or longer to ensure get rid of the water borne bacteria, and drink serve in unopened containers or bottles are safe to drink as well. Other than that, ice should be avoided because its typically made from unfiltered water tap water.
