My approach to reading the selection was to be able to repeat the most important information for myself and to know what the text I read was about in some details. I read it in a speed that was optimal for me to understand the context. I thought it was a long text but I timed myself while I was reading and found out that my reading speed is acceptable. I minimized distractions by choosing a good time during the day while my husband was at work and I had everything else done for the day. I read the selected text in my computer room in the afternoon (03.00 p.m.) when I felt like starting my assignment for school. I sat down in the computer room, left my telephone in the living room and locked out my cats and everything was quiet around me. I did not get emotionally involved, because the text was about business presentations and not for example about a tragedy. But I liked to read the text because I was able to learn something new and the text was interesting. When I was reading the selected text, I employed three out of the four reading purposes.
