Getting Started with AWS Academy Cloud Computing Architecture Curriculum

The purpose of this document is to help AWS Academy students enroll in and access AWS Academy Cloud Computing Architecture curriculum. The instructions provided in this document cover the following sections:

• Creating an Account on the AWS Training and Certification Portal
• Accessing AWS Academy Cloud Computing Architecture Curriculum
• Accessing Lecture and Lab Content
• Guide to Certification

Creating an Account on the AWS Training and Certification Portal

To create an account in the AWS Training Portal and enroll in AWS Academy Cloud Computing Architecture curriculum, you need a special registration link. Your Educator will provide you with this link.

1. Click the registration link provided by your Educator.
2. Click Sign In.

1. You can login to the AWS Training & Certification portal using an existing Amazon account a new one.
2. If you already have an Amazon account, use that account email address or mobile number to sign in.

1. If you do not already have an Amazon account, select Create your Amazon account.

• Select Sign in using our secure server.
• The New Account Setup page will be displayed for you to create your account profile in the AWS Training and Certification Portal. Follow the on-screen prompts to create your account profile.
• Once you have setup your new account, you will be logged-in to the AWS Training and Certification Portal and will be redirected to the “My Transcript” section of the portal.
• You will receive a confirmation email that you have successfully created your AWS Training Portal account.

Accessing AWS Academy Cloud Computing Architecture Curriculum

1. When logged in, open the My Transcript page. Locate the AWS Academy Cloud Computing Architecture curriculum and click Open.

1. The AWS Academy Cloud Computing Architecture Curriculum has five sections. To collapse or expand a section, click the Section name or the up/down arrows.

1. To access the curriculum, you may need to disable pop-up blockers.

• To access Lecture or Lab Content, browse to Lecture and Lab Content section and click Launch Labs.
• To access assessments or the recommended Exam Readiness Workshop, browse to the appropriate section and click Launch.

Accessing Lecture and Lab Content

1. Navigate to www.aws.training and login using the account you previously used when registering for the class.
2. Go to My Transcript and open the AWS Academy Cloud Computing Architecture curriculum.

1. In the Lecture and Lab Content section, click Launch Labs. You will be redirected to Qwiklabs to access the labs and student guides.

1. There is single sign-on between the AWS Training and Certification Portal and Qwiklabs so separate credentials are not required.

• If you already have a Qwiklabs account (possibly from a different AWS training course), then link your existing account.
• If this is your first account, click Create new account in awsacademy.qwiklab.com. to create your account in Qwiklabs

1. When logged in to Qwiklabs, click on the Cloud Computing Architecture class.

1. Select the Labs or Lecture Notes.

Guide to Certification

In this section, you will find registration instructions for the practice and certification exams.

AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate

The Cloud Computing Architecture curriculum provides essential learning in preparation for becoming a certified AWS Certified Solutions Architect at the Associate level. However, some further study and completion of the practice exam is strongly advised before attempting the certification exam.

• Review the curriculum content.
• You should have sufficient lab credits to complete each lab twice.
